General rental conditions for camper vans

Taking possession of a camper van implies unconditional acceptance of the general rental conditions, which the renter declares to have read.

- DRIVER: The driver must be over 25 years old and hold a standard category B driving license for at least three years. From the day and time of pick-up, the driver is responsible for any fines or accidents with legal consequences. Delivery of the camper van may be refused if the driver does not present sufficient proof of ability. Only drivers listed on the rental contract are authorized to drive the camper van.

- VEHICLE DOCUMENTS: The renter must keep all vehicle documents in good condition. In case of loss, the renter will make the necessary declarations for duplicates, replace the documents at their own expense, and pay the rental company (J-L LOISIRS ET CAMPING-CAR SARL) the immobilization fees calculated at the current daily rental rate.

- VEHICLE CONDITION: The camper van is provided to the renter in perfect working and clean condition with all accessories. Acceptance occurs upon delivery and signature of the contract. The camper van must be returned in the same condition. Cleaning at the end of the rental is mandatory; otherwise, a flat fee of 1,000 MAD (about €94) will be charged. Minor damages not covered by insurance must be settled immediately. Major damages covered by insurance will be deducted from the security deposit.

- FUEL: The camper van runs on diesel. Fuel costs are the renter’s responsibility. The renter must check oil, coolant, brake fluid, battery, and tire pressure during the rental.

- RENTAL PERIOD: The agreed rental period, dates, and times must be respected. No extension is allowed without the company’s consent. After 24 hours of delay, the vehicle is considered stolen and a police report will be filed. Early returns are non-refundable. Late returns incur a penalty equal to four times the daily rental rate per night.

- SUBLETTING: Strictly prohibited and not covered by insurance. Only drivers listed in the contract may drive.

- MAINTENANCE: Normal maintenance is covered by the company. Serious mechanical issues must be reported immediately via WhatsApp. Repairs require prior written consent and presentation of receipts.

- DEPARTURE & RETURN: Pick-up and drop-off occur at the company’s location (unless otherwise agreed) at the scheduled time. The camper van is delivered with full diesel and water tanks and empty waste tanks. It must be returned with the same diesel level.

- EXCLUSIONS: Insurance does not cover intentional damage, incidents involving unauthorized drivers, or damages when driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Tires, mirrors, and certain accessories are excluded.

- SECURITY DEPOSIT: A deposit of 17,000 MAD (approx. €1,610) is required on departure via bank imprint, reduced to 6,000 MAD if extra insurance is purchased. It is refunded after inspection minus any uncovered damages.

- INSURANCE: The camper vans are insured for civil liability and physical damage within Morocco. The policy covers accidents, fire, theft, and collision (with conditions and deductibles as stated in the insurance contract). The deductible is 18,000 MAD (approx. €1,650), reducible to 6,000 MAD with extra coverage.

- CLAIMS: In case of theft, immediately file a police report and send the report along with keys and documents to the company. For accidents, provide a police report or a signed accident report.

- PAYMENT & CANCELLATION: A 30% deposit is due at booking, with the balance due 30 days before departure. Cancellations more than 30 days before departure forfeit only the deposit; cancellations within 30 days forfeit the full rental amount.

- FORCE MAJEURE: In the event of unforeseen circumstances (accident or other) preventing delivery, the company may offer another camper van or refund payments within 30 days. No additional compensation will be provided.

- PETS: Pets are allowed only with prior approval and provided they do not cause damage to the camper van.
